Dinner & Worship every Thursday, everything else depends on you!
Make Your Own: Clinging Cross
Every 4 to 6 weeks we have Arts & Crafts Worship: a time for fellowship and creativity. We made khatchkhars, Armenian crosses, in January. Now it's time to make our own Clinging Crosses.
Using polymer clay, we'll each shape and decorate our own hand-fitted cross!
Join us on April 14th at 6:30 for dinner and Arts & Crafts.
Every Thursday during classes we meet for a Meal, Worship & Fellowship starting at 6:30.
We always start with a simple meal (remember our special Family Meal every First Thursday) at 6:30. Following dinner, at about 7, we move into Worship for about 45 minutes.
After Worship, everything is open to You! Bible Study, Discussion Groups, Faith & Film for any or all.
...or simply gather around the Big Table and play some games.
It's all open to what you want to do: Spend an hour or spend all night.
Just don't miss Thursday at Wesley!
Arts & Crafts Worship: This is a time for Community and Creativity. In the past, we have made prayer flags, mandalas, dreidels, Christmas cookies & ornaments, prayer beads, Armenian crosses, and clinging crosses.
We share at least one Arts & Crafts Worship every 4 to 6 weeks, a couple of times every semester.
Alt-Worship: There is a world of different ways to worship. Once a month we
bring in an alternative tradition to Wesley House. Some of our
Alt-Worship services include contemplative Taize; a walk in our
labyrinth; an Agape Feast and vigil for the Persecuted Church; wassailing and
caroling; and a ‘green’ worship for Earth Day.
Our regular weekly schedule is the center of activity at the Wesley House, but our
year wouldn’t be complete without the occasional celebrations and special projects,
like:
Return to the Beach RE-Welcome BBQ.
Pumpkin Carving or it’s not Halloween!
Wesley Winter Sock Drive helping our homeless brothers and sisters.
Middle Eastern Agape Meal traditional Mideast Feast followed by...
Prayer Vigil for the Persecuted Church worldwide.
Mardi Gras lets the good times—and Cajun food—roll!
Spring Overnight kicking off spring break with quiet time together.
Passover Seder celebrating Passover on the night of Jesus' Last Supper.
Easter Dinner for family time before the craziness of finals & graduation.
Finals Meals & Snacks ‘cause you’ve got enough to think about.
